Learning Session: Circle

Parenting Adult Children

With: Lois Nachamie, MFA, LCSW - Retired Board Certified Psychotherapist, Certified End of Life Counselor

Monday, September 27th at 12:00 pm EST

Duration: 60 minutes

About This Session:

“No matter how old you get, you’ll always be my baby.”

While that may be true for you, for your adult son or daughter, it’s not nearly as comforting and cozy as you think it is. Parenting adult “children” has always been a delicate balancing act. Like everything else, the pandemic has served to complicate and intensify relationships, often dramatically. Many of us lived with our grown kids, and often grandkids, for all or part of this “interesting” time in history, often straining relationships in unprecedented ways. For those of us physically cut off due to Covid, we struggled to maintain. Lois, a Marriage and Family therapist, will offer a space in this circle to share, kvetch, kvell, and grow, as we renegotiate and redefine our parenting roles with our adult offspring.
